Detectives are on their way, searching offenders of burglary at Tesco Extra in Uttoxeter. Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Staffordshire Police immediately.
Four men and a woman broke in the supermarket of town at 8:25pm on Sunday. They stole a large quantity of cigarettes and luckily no staff was injured.
Burglar left in a silver Ford Focus and abandoned a short while later on a access road just off the A50 and set alight the vehicle. They transferred to a silver Audi which was later involved in Bradley Corner, near Hulland Ward Ashbourne.
The Audi was stolen vehicle with fake registration plates.
The suspects were in dark clothing, apart from one who wore high-vis jacket. All had their faces covered and believed to be carried crowbars or similar items.
Anyone who witnessed the incident in Uttoxeter or Ashbourne, is asked to contact D Sgt Fitzgerald at Stofardshire Police, quoting incident number 724 of October 6. Alternatively, they can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
