When the government of Nawaz Sharif was over thrown by Pervaiz Musharraf there wasn’t any noticeable protest by the people of Pakistan. Regardless of some fatal mistakes done by former president Musharraf, people were quite comfortable and better then today, in his period.
Although dictatorship is considered dark era in the history of any country but there were number of people who praised and supported Musharraf’s logical thoughts and actions. If millions criticized him on issues like Lal Mosque operation and becoming US ally, on the other hand he had visible support on same issues as well. The decline of Musharraf started on his judiciary adventure, this incident was not only disapproved by the nation and Media it also broke the spell of former president. CJ of Pakistan was the first man whose “NO” drove Musharraf from the peak of popularity to infamy.
The sitting government came into existence after the murder of two times Prime Minister of Pakistan Banazir Bhutto. The government not only had the sympathies’ vote in election but people also chose them in the reaction of Musharraf, the government of PPP never learnt any lesson in past not they seems to learn any more.
Every one knows the reputation of Malik Riaz of Behria Town and every one knew who was backing Malik Riaz when he made accusation against CJ’s son Arslan Iftikhar. People appreciated the exemplary move of CJ when he took Sue Motto against his son he hasn’t stopped at this but a father expelled his son from the house, former PM Gillani’s son is also accused for corruption. Has former PM done anything other then defending his son? From the very start government has started tangling with Supreme Court of Pakistan. CJ reinstatement was done half heartedly. Party worker never missed a chance to make fun of the Supreme Court’s decisions.
Chief Justice of Pakistan is one of them whom people consider a ray of hope for Pakistan. It was in the column of Ansar Abbasi that CJ’s opponents are making a plot and they claimed that this time they will be successful. Ansar Abbasi’s information is usually authentic and if this piece of information is true then it is not only shameful but the party is building up a hell for themselves with their own hands.
Justice and law is a thing that if you take it away from any country then there is no difference between a jungle and a lawless country. Real justice prevails when common man and ruler are treated same and that is the point of justice which is not acceptable for the Feudal lords in politics, Generals and Dictators because it challenges their supremacy and make them answerable for their votes. If we succeed bringing justice into lives of common people and treat equally then there won’t be any hurdle into leaps and bonds towards prosperity of this nation. No one will suicide because of poverty, no one will be deprived from their rights, and youth won’t be refused jobs for not been in “branded” schools. There won’t be any queue for sugar and flour and utmost all we will be able to change our reverse gear into forward.
This is just a dream of Pakistani for ideal Pakistan but the ground realities are opposite. The sitting government isn’t ready to swallow even Supreme Court decisions and is infuriated on making them answerable on their corruption. They have stolen millions and trillions from nation’s pockets then how writing a letter to Swiss authorities can be trial of graves? This is not the matter of graves this is matter of our sweat blood, this is the matter of justice for the people who are living below the poverty line and justice for the souls who have killed themselves because they couldn’t feed their children.
If bringing justice into nations’ lives isn’t possible for them then at least government should refrain from shameful tactics. First time in the history of country, Supreme Court of Pakistan is trying to get rule of law, government should appreciate it.
Another plot against CJ can be destructive for peoples party itself. Whether they are clean or criminal they should recognize the Supreme Court’s decisions, rather then putting the whole judiciary system into stake just for the continuation and hiding their corruption. The man who was considered most powerful in the first decade of the century makes and breaks plans to come to his own country, this is the time politician should learn lesson from the past and avoid adding stigmas in the history of the Pakistan.
